intro
GeoDigital has recently announced a new campaign to raise awareness for the environment. The Green Corridors?Trees and Power contest focuses attention on an important concept: with careful and precise management power transmission corridors can act as greenways consuming carbon from the atmosphere. I am sure we could all add this kind of thinking to our planning.
In addition to compression and support for mobile LiDAR data there is now interest in using ASTM E57.04 for long term data archiving of historic preservation and construction as-builts. This group is looking for a couple of additional members. Please let me know if you are interested.
We're putting finishing touches on the Sept/Oct edition of LiDAR Magazine, drop me a line if you'd like to be a part of it. Thanks (as always) for your continued support.
Best regards,
