It was made clear to me once again just how important it is to be creative in your application of 3D laser scanning technology. In the first case it was Ryan Hacker and his use of laser scanning to capture the location of floor markings on a concrete slab. The markings were placed there by a partner firm that specializes in the use of ground penetrating radar, or in this case concrete penetrating radar.
In the second article Richard Rybka explains how to apply mobile LiDAR to better support landscape architects. In a matter of minutes versus hours, or even days of manual labor all of the plantings can be located in their 3D locations - impressive. Glad to have Richard back on the team.
