intro
Welcome. The overall economy here in the U.S. seems to be gaining strength in spite of our leaders (?) in Washington. Can you imagine if we really had cooperation, let alone forward thinking, creative solutions being implemented? Housing and automotive are key drivers, but I believe it is energy that will be the truly disruptive force over the rest of this decade.
As part of the team that developed the Guidelines for the Use of Mobile LiDAR in Transportation Applications, I am pleased to announce that a pre-publication, non-edited draft version of the report is now available at the TRB (Transportation Research Board) website. See below for additional info on this and the work that is taking place in the ASPRS Mobile Mapping Committee.
We're putting finishing touches on the March/April edition of the magazine this week. You can choose to receive either a digital or hard copy here. We thank you for your ongoing support in building this professional community.
Best regards,
Gene Roe, LS, PE, PhD
