If there is any chance you might be in the Camden, NJ area on September 10, Leica Geosystems and the Surveyors Association of West Jersey will host a special half-day 3D educational event for transportation surveying and engineering professionals on the Battleship New Jersey. At noon there will be a tour of the battleship. From 1pm to 5pm there will be an educational seminar followed by hands-on technology demos.
As part of this Leica Geosystems and Haag 3D will be scanning the New Jersey as a volunteer effort. You can register for the event here. This is the kind of educational event that is certain to attract a number of local surveyors who are likely not aware of 3D, perhaps a model for others to consider.
