intro
There's encouraging news on the UAS front: The FAA recently approved four exemptions allowing companies to use UASs for a number of mapping apps including construction monitoring and agriculture. Included are Trimble and Woolpert. The exemption is based in part on a requirement that the UAS be within sight at all times.
I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas for those who celebrate it, and a Happy Holidays to everyone. The team at LiDAR News is looking forward to an amazing 2015 as we start our sixth year in business.
We thank you for your ongoing support in building this professional community and if you have an idea for an article please drop us a line.
