intro
Welcome! A slight sigh of relief as we've just about wrapped the first half of "conference season". It was exciting to connect with so many of you at ILMF & SPAR. This week, Certainty 3D kicks off their inaugural TopoDOT Users Conference in Orlando. Stay tuned for updates. GEOINT 2016 follows just down the road. We also turn our attention to GEO Business (London, May 24-25).

We have a great issue in store for you with tons of outstanding content and info. Check out our video of the week in which Viametris iMMS (indoor Mobile Mapping System) demonstrates Building 3D Survey Systems in a real office building survey and the process to use 3D scans in classical CAD applications. This is a scan done at this year's SPAR 3D of The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.

Until Next time…Cheers!

Geiger-mode LiDAR is an emerging commercial technology that enables the collection of data at higher resolutions and from higher elevations than traditional linear-mode LiDAR. To date, Geiger-mode LiDAR has been used only in the government domain. Over the past 15 years, Harris has become the only large-volume processor of Geiger-mode LiDAR. Our experience includes the full life cycle of Geiger-mode LiDAR data collection, processing, and dissemination.
