Welcome to the LiDAR Magazine E-Newsletter for August 8th!

Even as we slide into the "Dog Days" of summer there is still tons happening in the LIDAR, mapping and UAV industries. We are proud of another outstanding issue of LIDAR Magazine E-Newsletter ? We have a great issue in store for you with tons of outstanding content and info. LiDAR Magazine covers all things LiDAR, surveying, reality capture, UAV mapping and photogrammetry.

In October, USIBD is offering training on the first standards written for documenting existing conditions at their Symposium in Atlanta. The first version of the Level of Accuracy (LOA) document, along with an RFP and an RFQ template, and a 3D Imaging Specification have all been received with great enthusiasm. Scroll down and check out the video.

? Thank you for supporting LiDAR Magazine and building our professional community! Let me know of any article ideas and remember you can choose to receive either a digital or hard copy of LiDAR Magazine on the website and encourage your colleagues to sign up for this eNewsletter for free.

Geiger-mode LiDAR is an emerging commercial technology that enables the collection of data at higher resolutions and from higher elevations than traditional linear-mode LiDAR. To date, Geiger-mode LiDAR has been used only in the government domain. Over the past 15 years, Harris has become the only large-volume processor of Geiger-mode LiDAR. Our experience includes the full life cycle of Geiger-mode LiDAR data collection, processing, and dissemination.
